Loving One Another

Scripture Text:  I John 3:11-23

For me, this particular passage in scripture to me places much emphasis on the importance of the brethren loving one another than anywhere I have read in scripture. The enemy is waging war against the body of Christ and he knows that if he turns brother against brother and sister against sister, there will be chaos in the church and the lives of many believers will be in jeopardy of hell fire due to hatred and bitterness. In verse 12, it mentioned briefly the story we all know, Cain and Abel, how Cain hated his own blood brother so much because he saw how favored he was and as a result of envy, he killed his brother. It is not until we pick up a gun or knife to kill another, before we call it murder, our thoughts and words alone can kill our sister or brother in our hearts. 1 John 3: 15 "Anyone who hates another brother or sister[cis really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them."

Beloved, as we approach the end of the year 2016, let us strive to love one another, forgive those who have hurt you in anyway, do not give the enemy an entry way into your heart through bitterness, unforgiveness and hatred. Show compassion at all times, learn to do good to all men regardless of what they think or feel about you. Let your action reflect genuine love for others, both believers and the unbelievers. Of course, showing compassion should not be only during the holiday season  because unbelievers also do good during this time of the year, and so what should set us apart from the rest of the world should be a lifestyle of giving and showing compassion throughout the year. In season and out of season, our lives must reflect that of a true believer, one who follows the Lord God Almighty, who is also the God of Love. Remember this day, how Christ Jesus gave up his life for us. This is the epitome of pure unconditional love for His children.
Beloved, if you are in the position to show love to a sister through giving of your time, resources etc, please do so with all your heart and you will see how you will get God's full attention when you do so. See 1 John 3:17-18

May the New Year bring you and your household much joy, laughter and peace in Christ's name.

Happy New Year beloved
SHALOM.

Doing The Will of The Father

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’  And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness........ Matthew 7:21-27 ESV

Beloved, are you doing the will of the Father in your life today? In addition to listening to the word, are you also a doer? Do you believe you are fulfilling God's plan for your life? If you have answered "Yes" to all these questions, Praise the Lord! Heaven awaits you! But if you have responded to "No" or you are not too sure about your stand with God at this moment in your life, then I will say to you, It is not too late to start right now to make amends by first of all confessing your sins before God and seeking His will for your life and how to serve Him.

It will be a disaster for anyone called by His name, sons, and daughters of the highest God, to be found wanting on that day. It will be a catastrophe if, on judgment day, we stand before the Father, and the book of life is opened, and guess what? Our names are nowhere to be found. God forbid!!! It shall not be our portion in Jesus' name.

We serve a God who not only delights in the praises of His people but also delights in our total obedience to Him. When we obey the Lord God, we show how much we honor and love Him and the incredible benefits that come with it. Many of us think we are operating in God's will, but sisters, do not be surprised that you are "NOT" because just because you are a church pastor or the Choir leader does not mean that you are in the will of God. We do things often without seeking God's will, and we also try to justify what we do, especially if it is church or ministry-related. Suppose you are sensitive to the voice of the Spirit. In that case, you will hear the Lord telling you what to do, how to go about it, and His will and purpose for you at that moment in time or season. It could be to feed the poor and homeless on the streets of Atlanta, Chicago, etc., for the next year, or go back to school to become a teacher, or sweeping the church for the next 30 days, or probably lead a bible study group in your community, etc., etc. We must be spiritually alert at all times to know God's will for our life for a particular time or season; when we do that, we will not make mistakes. Scripture tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6 that "Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. "

True disciples follow the orders and direction of their Lord and Master, they are not just hearers of the word or instruction, but they are doers as well. We must follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ, and if you are not sure what God wants you to do or not sure if you are operating in His will, ask Him through prayer. His words tell us we should ask and receive what we ask for. Another way to know if you are walking and working in God's will is to look at the life of Jesus while He was here on earth. Study the word of God carefully and see what Jesus did. He lived a life of purpose, and He never did anything without permission and leadership from the Father. He did and said things at the right time. He did not do something when He felt like it, but according to the leading of the Father, He operated. Beloved, we are called "Christians" for a reason. In our attitudes, speech, and ways, we must be "Christ-like."

I encourage you today to ask the Lord for wisdom; our main text states in verse 24," Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock." The wisdom from the Lord guides our steps and directs our path, not our own understanding. To bolster this, James 1:5 also states," any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. The Lord knows how crucial godly wisdom is in the life of a believer. We need it to live a satisfying and acceptable life in His sight, a life of obedience. This kind of wisdom keeps us on the right path, leading to everlasting life.

Sisters, as we approach the end of the year and look forward to a new year, 2017, let us take a moment to reflect on our spiritual life and our walk with the Lord. Are we truly walking in the will of God? It is not about engaging in every church activity, being on the board of a Christian organization, drawing crowds at conferences or crusades, speaking in diverse tongues, etc. It is about your personal relationship with the Lord, His purpose and will for your life; It is about whether you are doing what He has called you to do and how you live your life for Him. It is about being confident that if you die today, you are sure that heaven awaits you. Are you serving Him the way you should? Are you living a life that is holy and pleasing before Him? Let us use this time ( myself included) to examine ourselves and seek the Lord, and as we do this, may the Lord reveal areas in our lives where we are lacking. As He does that, may we open our hearts and surrender all to Him so He can perform the necessary healing, deliverance, and transformation we need.

Beloved, instead of the Lord saying, "Depart from me, you workers of iniquity, I do not know you, He will say, "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into my rest."

Merry Christmas and A Glorious New Year to you all!!!!

Living God's Way In The Last Days

So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.  Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Ephesians 5:15-17

Beloved sisters, how are you living your life today? Are you living your way, or are you living God's way? I encourage you to meditate on this scripture text today as another year draws to an end.

It is essential to examine your life each season to ensure that you are living a lifestyle that is befitting for a true believer and that whatever you are doing is pleasing to God. You are doing what He has called you to do. On that appointed day, we will all give an account of how we used the time allocated to each of us. Scripture has warned us in our text today that we should be careful how we live; we must live as wise individuals and not foolish ones because the time of reckoning is near, and the time is very near for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to return for His church.

And so what are we doing to keep busy? Are we doing our own thing, or are we doing what God has assigned us to do? As believers, we must always be conscious of how we utilize the time and resources given to us. We must take advantage of every opportunity we have in these evil times. We must know precisely what God is calling us to do and do it. Today, a lot of believers need clarification about their purpose in life. They go to church, pay their tithes and offering, and probably try to do a little bit more in the church in the area of service, but is that all there is to our Christian walk/journey? Is there a possibility that God may want to use you to impact lives for Him, whether in a small way or in a significant way beyond the walls of your local assembly?

I have been a Christian since my high school days, which is over 25 years now, and I always thought that serving God in my local church as an usher or choir member and striving to live a decent life was all God required of me. Still, about ten years ago, I realized it wasn't enough; I needed the Holy Spirit to direct my path and show me exactly what His plans were for me in these last days. Where do I fit in, in the body of Christ? What was my assignment? God revealed it to me as clearly as a day sometime later, and by His grace, I started to walk and work in obedience.

I believe God is seeking for us to do more with our time. Marriage, raising children, having a secular job or business, and being a part of one fellowship or the other are all very good things; there is absolutely nothing wrong with having all of these... But the question is, are you ensuring that the Lord God is still your priority, that you are putting Him first above all these beautiful gifts HE has given you? Are you ensuring that you are raising your children in the way of the Lord and your marriage is unto the Lord? Are you representing Christ well in your workplace and business? And in addition, are you availing yourself of being used by God in your community and other areas? Are you letting your light shine for Him wherever you go? Are you striving to be the virtuous woman of the Bible who takes care of her home, does business, and helps those in need with the resources God has given her?

Sisters, I want you to ponder on all of these questions, and if you feel that you are not really living the way God wants you to and making the most of every opportunity given to you, then it is time to make a change. Ask the Holy Spirit to order your steps and direct your path, revealing where and how to serve Him wisely and diligently in these last days. I assure you that when you call upon Him, He will surely answer, for He is the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation. He will reveal to you what He wants you to know and do.
Be blessed today!

Troubled? Try Praise!

Psalm 34

A lot of negative emotions accompany hardship; frustration, despair, fear and doubt.  People ruled by these feelings will often make poor choices.  This is why I recommend that you decide now to respond to troubled times the way the psalmist did: with a heart of praise.  Even in the darkest hours, worshipping God fills the heart with joy and the mind with peace.  A believer who is filled in this way can wisely keep a commitment to obey the Lord no matter what.

Worshipping the Lord enlarges our vision.  By doing so, we begin to see how He is at work in the world, perhaps in ways and places we've never noticed before.  More particularly, we see what God is doing in our situation and detect areas where He requires obedience from us

Our human tendency is to plot a course through a situation toward the easiest solution.   But believers who strike out on their do not mature in their faith.  Moreover, they miss out on the blessings of following the Lord 's plan.  Stopping to praise can keep us from taking the easy way out and direct us to the right path -  namely,  the way of God's will.  Taking a step forward  in faith can be frightening .  However, we can confidently  take a risk,  knowing our omniscient, omnipotent God has His children's best interest  in mind ( Isa. 64:4; Jer. 29:11).
It's hard to despair  while honoring the Lord for His love and strength .  We can dispel doubt  by recalling  His past faithfulness to us - and ease frustration  by committing our future plans to Him.  Praise is not the obvious reaction to hardship,  but it is the wisest response.

A Church that Cares

Luke 10: 29- 37
- By Chiamaka O.

Beloved, we all know the story of the good Samaritan, and if you do not, I encourage you to read the above-listed scripture text. Today, I want us to understand that portion of scripture or story is the state of the church today. Are we a church that cares? When I say "Church" of course I mean the Body of Christ (believers). How many of us can say we are truly our "Brother's keeper"? How many of us show compassion and empathy for our fellow brother or sister passing through tough times or even genuinely rejoice with them when they are going through a time of rejoicing for what God has done in their lives.

Let us ponder on this for just a moment!

In the story of the good Samaritan, we see three individuals traveled down a road in which they all encountered a seriously injured lying almost dead on the side of the road and all reacted in different ways. Brethren, the first 2 individuals who came upon this injured man were supposedly men of the cloth ( godly men) and the last individual was a man whose people were treated as outcasts in the society. The first 2 men saw this injured individual and kept going without looking back, you would have expected any one of them to show compassion and pity to this person as it has been taught in God's Word right!

The first man, a priest was someone who probably stood at the altar and read God's laws and commands to the people of God day in day out preaching and teaching on loving thy neighbor. "Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself " etc. When it came to putting it into practice, what did he now do? It was amazing that the one who did not profess to be a child of God, a man of God, or a follower of Christ was the one who now helped this wounded man, not only did he stop and clean up his wounds, vs 34 but he went a step further to find a place where he could stay until he was strong enough to continue his journey and even paid for the injured man's stay and assured the innkeeper that he will return and pay any additional expenses. What a remarkable man he was!  What a wonderful example of being your brother's keeper!

This is genuine Christianity and God's love in action.  Brethren, in the church today, we see all kinds of evil being done under the sun. believers waging war against each other, seeds of discord being sown, fellow believers taking each other to court, falsely accusing one another, selfishness, unforgiveness, and the list goes on.

It is time for us to repent and put on the fruit of the spirit Galatians 5:22-23. Without the fruit of the spirit operating in our lives, we cannot be the loving and caring church that our Lord and Savior designed for us to be. We must show the world that we are a Church that has its foundation built on the love of Christ and wherever we are or go, God's love must be paramount. Matthew 5:16 reminds us that we should let our light shine before others, so that they may see our good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven.

Let us be a Church that cares, showing compassion and kindness to our fellow brothers and sisters and also to the world.

I pray you are blessed by this message!

Working Together With One Mind and Purpose

" complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.  Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,"  Philippians 2:2-5

God created us for companionship, needless to say, we were not meant to be alone, doing things by ourselves.  We are designed to need our creator and each other to fulfill God's divine purpose and our purpose here on earth and that holds true in any relationship we find ourselves in e.g marriage, families. Hence we see that in the book of beginnings, Genesis where it shows the first marriage, and even before that the first "collaboration or teamwork" that was recorded was in Genesis 1:1-3 where we find the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit working together to bring about the world we live in today.   God knew that in order for His work on earth to be done, He was going to require human resources to bring it to pass.  In heaven, in the spiritual realms, there are multitudes of beings working together with a common agenda or goal be it in God's kingdom or in satan's kingdom to get things done and everything is extremely organized.   So it is on earth, as we have teams in heaven, so there is here on earth, be it in the secular world or Christian world.   In any organization, working together effectively is the key to the success of that organization.  In the secular world, organizations rely heavily on teamwork to get things done and so if working together effectively for a common goal is important in the spiritual realm and here on earth in the secular world, how much more in the body of Christ, the Church of God.

Apostle Paul in his ministry always encouraged the body of Christ to work together in unity because he knew the importance of standing together in one accord.  He emphasized this at every opportunity he had; for example in Ephesians 4:3, he admonished the brethren to make every effort to keep themselves united in the Spirit, binding themselves together with peace and in vs 12, he refers to the Church, the body of Christ to work together, building one another up in Christ with the gifts, skills, and talents that have been given to us from the Lord.   The Lord Jesus himself believed strongly in the power of teamwork in His ministry on earth; for he chose 12 disciples to work along with him to do the work of the Father and he knew when his time on earth was up, these ones will continue to spread the message of salvation throughout the earth and today we see the results of those team of believers ( the apostles and disciples) in the world today. Matthew 4:18-21, Mark 6:7-12, Luke 10:1-20

In the body of Christ, working together as a team means putting God at the head of our lives and ministry. He must be acknowledged as the established leader in the body of Christ and our own personal lives (e.g in our marriages, businesses, etc).  In our text today, Paul admonishes the brethren to have the attitude of Christ for, without it, we cannot be effective as a team to build and propagate the work of the kingdom.  In vs 2, he lists the christ-like attitudes we must have in order to effectively work together and they are 1). agreeing wholeheartedly with one another 2). genuinely loving each other 3). working together with one mind and purpose 4). Being selfless and not conceited, trying to impress others.  5). we should be humble, thinking of ourselves less than others 6).  take interest in the affairs of others and not be all consumed with our own lives and interests.

With the above-listed attitudes or qualities, we cannot go wrong in achieving team success in our ministries, the body of Christ, and our individual lives. Even the book of Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12 emphasizes the importance of working together for it states in vs 9 that "Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. "If one person falls, the other can reach out and help".

Beloved, even satan knows that Christians who work together in harmony, with one mind and purpose is a big threat to his kingdom and so he does everything in his power to bring strife and discord within the body of Christ.  For example, corporate prayer, standing together in faith with one mind and purpose breaks stronghold and disrupts the works of the enemy Matthew 17:19, 21.

Beloved, I will conclude with the words of another great Apostle in scripture, in the book of  1 Peter 3:8-9,  the Apostle Peter encourages all God's children, all Christians to be of one mind, sympathizing with another and loving each other.  These are the exact encouraging words Apostle Paul also stated before in the book of Philippians.  These men of God knew how important it was to work together in unity because they have seen the positive effect of it in their lives and ministry.  Peter goes further to admonish us to be tenderhearted and keep a humble attitude, never retaliating when we are insulted by others, especially our fellow brothers and sisters but instead reward them with good and the Lord will bless us for it.   With these words I encourage us today to strive to be a team player in the household of faith, working together in one accord to achieve God's purpose for the Church and I assure you when we do this, we will surely be rewarded for our contributions to the work of the kingdom and our christ like attitudes and lifestyle.

The Full Armor of God

"A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:10-12

Beloved, we are living in perilous times as scripture has indicated.. The times are evil and we can see it all around us everyday, just turn on the radio or television.

Our communities are mourning all over this country and around the world, so much hatred for our fellow man. See Matthew 24:12. The enemy is attacking our homes, marriages, our youths (the future generation), our very existence etc. Church, what are we doing about it? Are we sitting back folding our arms and just saying it is well or are we rising up and fighting back with the weapons God has given us. The apostle reminds us in 2 Corinthians 10:4 that “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” and knowing this , we should then recognize that we are dealing with powerful unseen forces and we cannot fight them with physical weapons.

Friends, It is time for us, the body of Christ to rise up and take our positions taking back what is ours. There is one force behind everything that is going on in our world today and he has been around since the beginning of time and despises mankind especially the children of God (the brethen). He is the prince/god of this world and is causing calamities and woes in the lives of men and women, but it does not mean we or our loved ones should continue to be his victims.

Let us put on the full armor God and also utilize the power of intercession prayer, to do battle against the enemy of our soul. We are facing greater spiritual battles today than ever before. There has been a release of demonic activity on earth over the last 2-3 years that is unseen in world history. and I tell you the truth it is not going to end anytime soon, for the world is going to see an even greater release of demonic activity on all unimaginable levels. The enemy knows that his time is very short and this is an intense battle for the souls of men.

Father I thank you today because I know that He that is in us is greater than he who is in the world. The battle is yours but the victory is ours . Halleluyah! II Chronicles 20:15.

According To Your Faith, He Leads.....

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt."  Exodus 13:17-18 KJV

The revelation I received from these two verses is that God deals with us according  to our faith.  It states in the above scripture that God did not guide the Israelites along the main road that runs through Philistine territory which happens to be the shortest route to the Promised land.   He knew the heart and character of His people and was absolutely sure that if they took this route, the Israelites will encounter trouble with the Philistines and it will cause them to be fearful and turn back to the land of their sufferings, Egypt.    And so what did God do?  He instead led them through the longest route i.e through the wilderness  through the Red Sea.   I believe in addition to their constant lamenting and disobedience to God during their journey to the promised land, what should taken a much shorter time to reach the promised land after they left Eqypt, it took them much longer.  Scripture states in Joshua 5:6 that the Israelites had wandered in the wilderness for 40 years until all the men who were old enough to fight in battle when they left Egypt had died.
Beloved, a lot of times, we hinder our own progress due to our unbelief and lack of trust in the Sovereign God.  We unknowingly downgrade or trivialize the great power of our God through actions such as doubt, fear, worry, anxiety, complaints etc. and as a result, God deals with us according to our level of faith and belief in Him.   He loves us so much that in order for us not to give up or look back to our past (Eqypt),  He gives us another way out, which is not His ideal choice for us.   It is good to know that the Lord does not give up on us and there is an alternate way, this scripture text has revealed to me that God always has an alternate way in the event, the first plan or best plan does not work.    God wants us to have the best of things, after all His word states in James 1:17 that "Every good and perfect gift comes from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.   But in order to have this good and perfect gift, we must put our total trust in Him and walk in obedience.  Our faith in God has to be unwavering where we know that no matter what comes our way, we can not be moved because God is in complete control, He is right there with us and we can rest in Him.    We need to not just confess with our mouth that our God is able and can move mountains for our sake, but we must believe it with all our heart that He can.
Beloved, do not fear, have faith in the Lord today, allow Him to lead you through the best path today so that you can enjoy everything that He has prepared for you.

Equipped For Service

21 "may he equip you with all you need
    for doing his will.
May he produce in you,
through the power of Jesus Christ,
every good thing that is pleasing to him.
All glory to him forever and ever! Amen."   Hebrews 13:21

Every believer has been called into God's service whether we know it or not.  Once you have given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ ( born again), you are automatically adopted into the family of God, hence the work of the building of the kingdom of God here on earth begins in your life.   Our main text today tells us that He will equip us (believers) with all that we need  for doing His will.  God cannot call us to do something without providing the materials or resources we will need to do the job.   The Lord also reveals to us in Phil 2:13 that He is working in each of us to give us the desire and power to do what pleases Him.  Beloved, what pleases God is our service to Him, our commitment to the propagation of His kingdom.   Winning souls (evangelism) pleases Him,  helping those in need through giving of our resources and time pleases Him,  praying (interceding) for the sick, needy pleases the Lord, encouraging one another in the Lord, teaching the word of God to others and much more all are service unto the Lord that pleases our God.     God knows that some or all of these things, we cannot do without His help because we as human beings have limitations and that is why the word of God states in 2 Peter 1:3 " By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. " and also Apostle Paul states in Phil 4:19 that the God who takes care of him shall supply all the needs of the brethren according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.  Paul was confident that  God will provide all that the brethren needed to do the work of God as He had always done for him .   In the world we live in, let us be sincere,  everything we do including the work of God requires financial resources  and without money, it is really difficult to get things done.  But the Lord has assured us that He will make a way where there appears to be no way Isaiah 43:16.    As long as it is God who sent you, He will also provide the means to get the assignment done.

Another important resource the Lord has given His people to equip them for service are the gifts of the Spirit as we see in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11.  These gifts along with the talents or skills He has blessed us with contribute tremendously to the success of God's work here on earth.   Even within the body of Christ, there are certain groups of believers who have been given special responsibility by the Lord to equip the children of God  for service  (building up the church).  These people are the apostles, the prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.  and are held to a higher standard than the rest of the body as a result of the nature of their responsibilities.  "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: "Ephesians 4:11-12.

Beloved, the Lord will always provide all that we need to do the work He has assigned to each of us.  As He did it for Moses , when He provided Aaron to be Moses' mouth piece to lead the children of God out of Israel, and was with him every step of the way and many others throughout history,  so He will do for us.   The Lord God who is more than able will surely equip us for every good work and at the end of our service to Him here on earth, He alone shall take the glory and He shall say unto us "Well done good and faithful servant"  See Matthew 25:21

With God, All Things are Possible

"And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For nothing will be impossible with God."  Luke 1:36-37

Sometime in 2003, I witnessed God's miraculous power in the life of a sister in Christ. This beautiful sister worked as a Registered Nurse on the East coast, and at the time, she had just turned 40 years old. She wasn't a member of my local assembly, but she was referred to my Pastor for prayers; her story was that she had been married for approximately ten years and had been unable to conceive and, like most women who are over 35, the fear of not being able to have children grips you. That fear can cause many sleepless nights, robbing you of your peace. She and her husband had done everything within their human strength to have a baby, but nothing was working, and they had gone from church to church for prayers and spent a lot of money on treatments ..No change!

When she was introduced to my pastor, he assured her that God was in control, but he wanted her to do a couple of things... He said to her " Everything I tell you to do, please do it in obedience," and she agreed. What did he instruct her to do?

-To fast and pray on specific prayer points for a specified period and limit her conversations with people related to her getting pregnant. ( in other words, she should spend more time in the presence of God and less time talking on the phone, lamenting about her situation, etc.).  He also told her that when God finally does it, she should tell no one that she is pregnant ( of course, except for those she comes in contact with since she will not be able to hide the pregnancy after a while) until after she gives birth.  About 9-10 months later, we got the news that this sister had just given birth to not just one baby boy but two, a set of twins. How wonderful our God is!

What a miracle and a display of God's power in the lives of those who trust Him. Our God is more than able, for He specializes in the impossible.

Friends my encouraging words for you today is to believe in the Lord, your God, for your breakthrough, there is nothing on this earth and in heaven above, impossible with the Almighty God. He is the giver of life and all good things, including the fruit of the womb, which is His reward Psalm 127:3. This sister was hoping for one child, but at 40, the Lord blessed her with twins (double blessing). Look at Elizabeth, she was probably much older than this sister, and many around her had already concluded she was barren. Still, God had the final say over her situation, and in her old age, she gave birth to a great man of God, John the Baptist, who became the forerunner of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So please do not accept any negative label from people, but continue to fix your eyes on Jesus Christ, the author, and finisher of your faith.

This season, I decree that anything dead in your life become resurrected, any womb that the enemy has shut, and any woman labeled barren by others, I declare by the power in the name of Jesus Christ and by the blood of the lamb, that the womb receive life now and every woman still trusting the Lord for your miracle, claim yourself as a fruitful vessel to carry your child this season in Jesus name.

If GOD be for us,..........

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31

We are God's beloved people, He does not joke with us at all. We are too valuable to Him and so If God is for us, who dares stand against us. The enemy will try his usual tactics i.e oppression, hitting believers on every side with life's issues such as family problems, marital problems, finance and the list goes on, but when you know the God you serve is always on your side, you will have no need to fear the perils of this world. Why? because His word reminds us in verses 35-39 of Romans 8 that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God.    At the end of the day, the enemy loses the battle and can not rob us of our joy because the Lord God has the final say over our lives. So beloved sister and friend, be encouraged today, appreciate how much you are worth to God, do not let anything or anyone stand in your way. Remember that God is always on your side and you are His temple. I will leave you with this scripture verse among many to remind you how much God values you and fights for you.

"Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple." 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

Be Encouraged today my friend, the Lord is on your side.

Thoughtful Living

Psalm 25:8-15
I pray this message blesses your life today.
Are you living thoughtfully and intentionally—or are you living automatically? It’s so easy to get up each morning, do our work, enjoy some relaxation or entertainment, and fall into bed each night without giving any thought to God’s involvement in our everyday life. But to be ignorant of how He has blessed, guided, protected, and warned us is a foolish way to live. Just consider the benefits of keeping our spiritual eyes and ears open throughout the day.
We who are aware of God’s presence during daily activities enjoy the peace of knowing He’s always in control and working to achieve His good purposes. Day-to-day experiences with Him teach us to know and love Him more.
When we learn to see God’s footprints throughout each week, we will become aware of the scope of His involvement in His children’s lives. Maybe He strengthened us for a task or opened a door of opportunity. Perhaps He guided our decisions or helped us respond in a godly way to a difficult person or a challenging situation.
If our ears are open to the Lord’s warnings and instructions, we won’t repeat the same mistakes again and again. But if we remain deaf to His voice, we run the risk of continuing in unhealthy thought patterns, negative emotions, and foolish responses.
Each night before you go to sleep, take some time to reflect on the day’s activities. The heavenly Father is constantly with you, guarding and guiding your way. He wants you to see Him in everything and understand life from His perspective as you rely on His wisdom and power to face any challenge.
