5. The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through his shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God, the Father and in His personal return to earth in power and glory.

6. The Infallibility of the Holy Scriptures, the Bible as the final authority in all matters of doctrine, conducts relative to daily living.

7. The administration of spiritual gifts led by the Spirit for the edification of the church of God. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

Spiritually Minded

As one advances in years, getting closer to old age, one's mindset about life begins to change at least that is my belief.   As human beings, we are more conscious about the value of life as we get closer to old age. We thing about the physical death more and where we will spend eternity.   We are sensitive to the smallest things that occurs in our lives and more appreciative, but at the same time there might be some regrets.  For us, believers, not only are we appreciative of life, but there is that confidence of where we will spend eternity because of our hope in Christ Jesus.  As an elderly believer, there is a joy and peace that overwhelms one because she looks forward to being called home to glory at the appointed time.  Even though a young believer has the same mindset of spending eternity in heaven, their hope is for that to not happen any time soon.  No one desires for their life on earth to be cut short prematurely.

Sisters, what is your mindset today? At your current age, what is your perception of life? If the Lord says its time for you to come home! How would you feels about that?
Are you ready ?   Well, an elderly person may say she is ready, after all, she has lived a full productive life, accomplished much, served her God and she is ready to go home to the Lord , beginning the next chapter of her existence in eternity.  The young believer, when I say young I mean any where from ages 16-69  may say am not ready yet to let go of earth, I still have more to accomplish for God and for my life and I am still waiting on this or that in my life to happen before I go home.  Regardless of how old you are, the Lord can call us home anytime and we have to be ready, we have to set our minds on the Lord and the things of God always.  We must always have the mindset that we are not of this world, but travelers passing through and our bus stop, like my mother in law always says can come anytime as the Lord wills it.  He knows our end from our beginning, our lives are in His hands and he has the final say over our existence.  All He wants us to do is keep our eyes fixed on Him always, have the right mindset, i.e. be spiritually minded and stay vigilant always. " Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth." Colossians 3:2
